Leeds is one of only 20 international cities to be part of the prestigious Pilot Cities Programme, exploring how culture is embedded across daily life from economic development and social inclusion to urban regeneration. The programme brings together cities from across the globe to share best practice and develop new ideas and solution to help ensure that Leeds that continues to place culture at the heart of the city's future development.
Following an intensive period of research and development, including the creation of an independent Advisory Panel, Leeds City Council, and its partners United Cities for Local Government and Culture Action Europe invite you to join them as they reveal the results of the research, share proposals for new projects that will support the future cultural development of the city and hear from other international cities who have successfully completed the programme.
The only English city to take part in the programme, Leeds will be sharing ideas and proposals developed by the independent Advisory Panel which will form part of the Culture Strategy delivery Plan over the next six years.
The event will be held at Leeds Art Gallery from 6-8pm on Wednesday 6th June and will include an opportunity for guests to share their own views and ideas on the proposed projects.
Drinks and refreshments will be served, and places are limited.
